Ludovica "Louisa" Ghijs (March 19, 1902 – July 18, 1985) was a Belgian stage actress. She was married to Dutch actor and centenarian Johannes Heesters. Ghijs met Heesters in 1928, they married in 1930 and had two daughters Wiesje (1931) and Nicole (1937). In 1935, she played in her last movie, De vier Mullers, alongside her husband.
In 1985, when Ghijs died, she was a pianist in Vienna and Nicole was an actress. One of her grandchildren was also an actress; Saskia Fischer (born 1966). Louisa Ghijs was the inspiration of Suzy from the Belgian comic series Spike and Suzy (Dutch: Suske & Wiske).[1]
